Food Allergy Safety Measures:
The Krispy Kreme web site does not say anything specific about food allergens and potential for cross-contamination.  However, in a phone call to the former Canadian head office, it was stated that they cannot guarantee peanut/nut-free status.  Although no peanut/nut products are intentionally added as ingredients, the ingredient suppliers (many of which are in the U.S.) cannot guarantee peanut/nut-free status of their fillings or other topping ingredients.  As a result, even the traditional glazed donuts may be cross-contaminated in the production process.
