Quality assurance and customer service maintain allergen information sheets for all products, identifying if any of the major allergens are official ingredients of the item, are used in other products processed on the same production line, or are present in the processing plant.  Allergy alerts are placed on product packaging if the product is at risk for allergen cross-contamination.  If production practices change in such a way as to make a formerly "allergen-free" product "at risk" for allergen cross-contamination, there is a possibility that old product packaging may be used which will not have warnings on it.  As a result, it is advisable to contact customer service at the number below to determine if products are truly "allergen-safe".
