Food Allergy Safety Measures:
Necessary precautions have been taken to ensure that no cross-contamination with potential allergens can take place on production lines.  On non-dedicated production lines, equipment is thoroughly broken down and cleaned after potential food allergens have been processed. Allergy alerts on packaging are not considered necessary, as McCain's believes the ingredient listing accurately reflects the contents of their products. The only nuts present in their bakery are whole shell pecans, which are hand-shelled and hand-placed on the appropriate poducts, minimizing risk of pecan dust cross-contamination. McCain's also has an excellent allergy awareness program in place with their employees.
