- The Food Safety Consortium
conducts research on new ways to maintain and enhance food safety to ensure
America will continue to enjoy high quality food in the future.
Established in 1988, the Consortium is
developing technology to rapidly identify contaminants, methods to evaluate
potential health risks, risk-monitoring techniques to detect potential
hazards in the food chain, and the most effective intervention points to
control microbiological or chemical hazards.

- An organization that gives workshops on food buying

jurisdictions will follow suit.
